To celebrate the much-anticipated release of The Macra Terror on DVD and Blu-ray, the DWCA is taking a look back at those Doctor Who stories that have gained a second chance at life. From animators putting a new spin on the lost episodes of the ’60s, to writers updating their work for the small screen, and a few other oddities that have popped up along the way, Doctor Who has a rich history of reformatting stories to fit different mediums – one that we look forward to exploring!
The Macra Terror will be available for sale from the DWCA Shop on the day, as will a whole range of recent merchandise releases. Fourth Doctor fans should be keen for Season 18: The Collection on Blu-ray, as well as Big Finish’s audio adaptations of some classic comic strips. There’s also Big Finish’s continuation of Torchwood in God Among Us Volume 2, plus a new spin-off series for Missy!
