From 10am – 2pm on the 13th of April, Outside the Dendy Cinema at Circular Quay to celebrate the debut of Doctor Who series 10 on ABC and iview, BBC Worldwide is unveiling a mind-bending 3D illusion at one of Sydney’s most iconic locations.
Created by artists 3D Joe and Max, the illusion will appear for one day only on the forecourt at Circular Quay, just down from the Dendy Cinema near the Portobello Café. The artwork features some of the terrifying monsters from the series within a deep chasm that has appeared on the ground. It reflects the fantastic adventures that await the team of heroes in this next series, which starts on Sunday 16 April on ABC and iView.
Fans of all ages are encouraged to dress up and interact with the underground world into which they are seemingly being lured. Participants can capture their own illusive Doctor Who journey and share it on social media using #TimeForHeroesAU. The first ten people to arrive, find BBC Whovian ‘Peta’ and say ‘A Time for Heroes’ will win tickets to see episode one on the big screen. But be quick! The illusion will remain setup until 2pm.
