Peter Capaldi was lucky enough to encounter a few old-school monsters during his era on Doctor Who, with Series 10 featuring appearances from the Daleks, Cybermen, Ice Warriors and even Movellans! Join us as we reminice about some of the programme’s most well-loved monsters, and how they rose through the ranks to the point where they’re still scaring audiences today.
We’ll be joined by special guest Patrick Magee, a researcher on Whovians. A fan of Doctor Who literally since he was in the womb, Pat is sure to have some great stories to tell about working on Australia’s own Doctor Who panel show!
The DWCA Shop will be open on the day with a wide range of merchandise. Our video offering includes Series 10 Part 2 on Blu-ray and DVD, allowing you to relive the climactic end to the season. And for those who can’t wait to see Jodie Whittaker in action as the Thirteenth Doctor, we also have the complete series of Broadchurch available on DVD!
We’ll also be showcasing some exciting new audio dramas from Big Finish Productions, plus collectables, graphic novels and more.
Attendees are welcome to hang around after the main event for the club’s 2017 Annual General Meeting, which will feature reports from the president and treasurer as well as the election of office bearers for the year ahead.
