Earlier this year the world said farewell to Sir John Hurt, whose portrayal of the War Doctor was all too brief but nonetheless extremely powerful. Now, as we prepare for a new series of Doctor Who to reach our screens, the DWCA is encouraging its members to gather together and remember some of the other times the good Doctor has found himself in the middle of a war zone…
The DWCA Shop will be open on the day with a variety of merchandise to commemorate the late, great Sir John, including graphic novels from Titan, full-cast audio box sets from Big Finish Productions, as well as the limited edition 50th anniversary DVD box set.
This is in addition to all the latest releases, including The Return of Doctor Mysterio and The Power of the Daleks Collectors Edition on DVD and Blu-ray, audio box sets The Diary of River Song Volume 2 and Torchwood One: Before the Fall (the latter featuring Yvonne Hartman and Ianto Jones), and much more!
There will be games to play and prizes to be won, including a Tenth Doctor graphic novel, out-of-print novels and novelisations, and even the Doctor Who version of classic board game Risk! Door prize tickets will be distributed to everyone who attends on the day – pre-purchase your entry online and receive two door prize tickets instead of one!
